Apple launched the iPad Tablet Computer with great fanfare at the end of January. iPad Price is starting $499 But should you take one?

Start of all let’s look at the features of the new iPad tablet. It allows you to surf the internet using Apple’s Safari web browser. It provides you to create documents, spreadsheets and presentations using Apple’s iWork 2010 Office Software (which is presently used on Macs). It has an eReader, allowing you to read books on the iPad, and Apple have launched the iBooks store which allows you to buy ebooks directly from Apple for your iPad. It allows you to view videos, and play Game. And you should be able to view newspapers on it as well – the New York Times has already developed an app to allow their newspaper to be downloaded to the iPad.

Essentially Apple have made a single all-purpose one stop tablet computer in a handy size that is portable. Whether you should purchase one looks on what your own needs are.

Book reader were disappointed to see that the iPad didnot use the iInk technology that is corporate in the Amazon Kindle and Sony Digital reader. (iInk technology is kindly to the eyes and provides you to read for hours without strain ). However, Apple showed out that their device was backlit and provided you to read in bed. If you are a book lovers who only needs an e-book readers you might want to test the Sony Digital readers or Amazon’s 6″ Kindle, both of which are cheaper than the iPad (because both only view books and don’t have the another function of the iPad).

If you are a business person who spends a lot of time travelling, an iPad may be ideal for you. It will allow you to make documents, call your office via the net and view newspapers like the Financial Times, all on the go, on a individual tablet. And the size of the iPad (9.7"screend and the weighing 1.5 pounds) make it less bigsize to take than a portable laptop computer. The iPad does not have a port USB – but Apple sell dongles that insert to the iPad which do have ports and which you could use to transfers document to and from your PC.

Gamers may also be interested in the iPad – but notice that Sony are also established the Sony Dash, which allows you to play game, listen to music, watch video and browse the net, and is cheaper than the iPad (because it does not have the e-Reader functions or the office functions ). However, if you are a gamers who also wants to be able to write essays, do work and browsing the net, then the iPad is a best solution.

If you simply like gadget and want a handy sized tablet computer to use while in the garden or while lying on the bed, then the iPad is a must have. It’s simply the almost advanced tablet device on the market place right now. Apple have published a software developer kit so that software house can develop software for the iPad. As with the iPhone, it is the apps that will make or break the device, and it is probably that the qualities and breath of the application mean that you should go ahead and buy the Apple iPad tablet.
