Endearing Vob File Knowledge
Monday, July 19th, 2010.MOD file is the video file format used on many digital camcorders, such as the JVC Everio, and the Panasonic D-Snap SD-card camcorders.
Converting videos and images to DVD video formats is no more a hassle.
Moving Picture Experts Group (MPEG) has set the standards for the digital video compression. These are used for making movies to make them available on the Internet. VOB follows the MPEG program stream format. VOB format is restricting itself with some limitations and it is a robust subset of the MPEG format. These objects comply with the DVD Video container formats. Video, audio, subtitle and menu contents are multiplexed together into a stream form in the VOB format.
MOD files are not MPEG-2 files although the video they contain is MPEG-2 (in the same way that VOB files are not MPEG-2 files).
If you change the file extension and start joining the files together the sound will go progressively out of synch. If you cut sections out and join them then it is not too bad but it can take years with a 100 or so files to process. The thing which works reasonably is to open the Mod Video joiner and to import all the MOD files that you want.
You can now produce your DVD, but it is very very important to choose a DVD bit rate which is not less (or not much less) than the recording you made. If you recorded it at the finest setting (approx 4GB per hour) then choose the 8GB output DVD. If you recorded it at the standard setting (approx 2GB per hour) then choose the 4GB output DVD. This will then produce a set of VOBs which are in good shape and can be converted to MPG or used directly as you wish.
Stream Form: Examples for streaming media for audio and video are the radio or a television. T is a streaming media for the audio and video. Streaming videos on the internet are also similar in nature. So such files require the digital formats like VOB.
The VOBs are excellent except that there are a series of annoying sound problems arising from the JVC camera. The camera responds over-sensitively to certain noises so you end up with pops and crackles. The JVC camera also has a problem with sound level and on occasion you will get overload in conversion leading to crackling/distortion. Once in Mod Video Joiner, I save them as AVIs (generally DivX or XviD) with a very high bit rate, forget that the MODs for ever existed and eventually resend the AVIs back to DVD if wanted.
A two way video conversion: 4Easysoft VOB Converter is a professional VOB Video Converter used for converting video files of other formats to VOB format. Without forgoing the quality of the input file the output quality is sustained and improved by this converter. The formats supported of input files and out file formats are listed below:
